Music Producers, this past week there's been a lot of controversy circulating the topic of sampling. More specifically legendary producer Timbaland's use of Middle Eastern music, Moroccan Gnawa music, and Bollywood samples over the years. While the original conversation started off about sampling culture appropriation, it somehow weirdly transition into many producers expressing their anger at just sampling alone. After reading my Twitter timeline and seeing the perspective of both sides, I shared a few views I have on the topic in my FLowcation Live Stream.
