The Work You Do for Free Could Be the Thing That Puts You on the Map

The biggest mistake you could make as a freelancer when trying to find clients is defaulting into "no". If you decline offers for work because you feel it is "undervalued" or "a scam", you are actually slowing down the reputation you could be building and likely missing out on great opportunities. One of those offers you declined could have ended up being your best work that got landed you the client you always dreamed of. Think less in "dollar value" and more in "reputation building" when looking for clients… ESPECIALLY if you have spare time for extra clients.
