Sportscard investing ultimately boils down to supply and demand at the most basic level. As the popularity of sports cards continues to rise, demand is going to continue to outgrow the supply of cards and this will impact which cards are going to be considered "valuable" and what areas will see new levels of attention as certain cards become almost unattainable. While interest now is mainly in basketball cards, as that becomes too competitive consumer attention will shift to different sports and things like pokemon, magic the gathering, and other types of collectible cards.
